We have spent the last 4 days visiting friends on our 'tour'.
Monday we drove from Manjimup to Albany after leaving the Good/Giblett clan. Such a beautiful drive thru the trees & we stopped off for a play/break by the river at Denmark.
We stayed with good friends Heids & Simon Monday night. Heids & I went to school with each other & while we have caught up over the years, due to circumstances (distance mostly!) our kids haven't seen each other since the girls were one! So it was absolutely gorgeous to watch, inparticular, Ellie & Zali form the most beautiful friendship. Within 10 minutes they were walking around everywhere together holding hands, playing games & then slept together in a double bed & chatted until 10.30 that night! Needless to say we had two very tierd nearly 6 years olds the next morning!!!!
Annabelle & Fynn are also the same age & although wheels & pink separated their interests (!!) they were very cute together, particularly the next morning while the 'big girls' slept & they got to spend some time together :o)
Heids & Simon have done such an amazing job with their house & garden! On top of that a view to die for! This photo does it no justice what so ever, but at least will give you a smidgen of an idea.
Thanks so much for having us, it was great to see you & it's nice to know I have finally found a landscape designer AND interior decorator for when we build!
So Tuesday morning we headed north & stopped in at Cranbrook to visit George, Tom, Flick & Lucinda. Again, more friends down south that we don't get to see often enough! Last time we dropped in to see George in May of this year, Tom & Flick were in Perth about a day away from welcoming Lucinda to the family! She is such a cutie & was more than happy just to hang out with me & watch the chaos of my kids as they discovered new toys!!!
On to Narrogin after lunch (thanks GP!) to spend the afternoon & evening with Chels, Dave & Hamish. Chels I am certain in a previous life you were a chef! Yum! Dinner was fantastic as to was the company :o) Was so fantastic to see you guys again to & thanks so much for the bag fulls of homegrown apricots & cherry plums.
Wednesday we headed west over to Bunbury stopping in at Wellington Dam for a look. So beautiful with the water lapping at the forest. I took some snaps on my point & shoot, just haven't downloaded them yet *smack*! Will do!!!
So Wednesday lunch time we arrived at Ren's sisters house, Nats, Ash & Alexander. Had a wonderfully lazy afternoon, cruisy evening & then today went out for a drive to see the countryside, visit wineries & had lunch at a Gold Plate award pub in Boyanup for a great feast. We're here again tonight, so it has been a great opportunity to get some washing done, catch up on a bit of sleep and for the kids to settle in a bit.
Tomorrow we head back up to Perth, shoot on Saturday morning, then catching up with a friend before spending an evening with my sisters, BIl & niece & then flying out Sunday midday!
We are just having the most amazing time so far. Have enjoyed ourselves so much, so much! Next week we will meet up with Amber (my elder sister), explore Melbourne, catch up with friends & do 2 shoots before heading up to Tocumwal to Bonnie (middle sister) & John's place to prepare for Christmas!
Not sure when I will have internet access again now, probably not until Melbourne maybe.... so until then, take care :D
